Receiving an Item

An order detail is an item to be received in the receiving order. The details are displayed in the Details tab. Each detail in the order is loaded one at a time, by form. You are able to view the item details or receive an item, by line number at this tab. Tap the Details tab to bring this portion of the form to the front.

1. Item No.: the next available item number to be received is automatically entered in this field. If you want to receive another item number in this order, you may enter or scan it into this field.
2. Line No.: the line number for this item detail is automatically entered in this field.
3. Ordered: the ordered quantity for this line item is automatically entered in this field.
4. Actual: the receive quantity for this line item is automatically entered in this field.
5. To load the previous or next line item for this order, tap the left and right arrow icons, respectively .
6. To receive this item, tap the Receive icon to reach the Receive form .

How to Receive an Item

1. From the Details tab, for a line item, tap the Receive icon to reach the Receive form for this item detail.

Note: The actual receive quantity cannot exceed the ordered quantity. In order to receive an item, it must be part of the item list in the default division of the logged-in user.

2. The Receive form for this item detail appears.

3. Item #: the item number for this detail is automatically placed in this field.
4. Location: enter the receive location in this field.
5. Qty: enter the receive quantity in this field. If using the default receive quantity orders preference setting, this quantity is automatically entered in this field; see "User Preferences" for more information.
6. UOM/Lot/Expiration Date/Serial #: When a unit of measure, a lot, a serial number, or an expiration date is required for an item, this information must be entered upon the item receipt. When an item is serialized, the serial number for the item is entered at the Enter Serial Numbers form; see "Serialized Items" for more information.
7. RFID Tag Number: When the item uses RFID, it will accept an RFID tag number; see "RFID Item in Mobile App" for more information.

8. Ordered: the total item receive quantity is entered in this field.
9. To receive this item, tap the Save icon.

10. RF Mode: The item is immediately received and added to inventory.
11. Batch Mode: The item is received and added to inventory as collected data. When the collected data is uploaded and processed into the main application, the item is received and added to inventory.
12. You are returned to the Receiving form\Details tab.
13. The next item in this order is automatically loaded.

14. If all items have been fully received, the first line item is loaded and shows the full receive quantity in the Actual field.

15. If an additional line item is ready to be received, it is automatically loaded in the Details tab. Repeat steps 1-11 to receive this item. Continue to receive items until you are finished.
16. RF Mode: When all items in the order have been received, the order status automatically updates to "Closed."
17. Batch Mode: When all items in the order have been received, the order status in the batch database is updated to "Closed." When the data is uploaded to the main application and processed into the database, the order status in the main application is updated to "Closed."
